NEW YORK (Variety) – Cable’s Court TV has acquired U.S. rights to U.K. hit reality series “Ratrap,” which films street criminals caught red-handed.

The show will focus on petty crimes, such as break-ins, stolen luggage and graffiti. High-tech hidden cameras were placed around public places to capture crooks in the act. Each episode offers analysis to help viewers protect themselves.

Four half-hour episodes have been picked up for a Sept. 12 premiere, with the possibility of more. The Stateside version will be updated to include new information and context.
