NEW YORK - It was “Survivor” meets “The Bachelor” at Madison Square Garden. The country’s most popular reality game was thrown a curve Sunday night when one of the final two “Survivor” contestants, “Boston Rob” Mariano, pulled out a ring and proposed to the other one, Amber Brkich.

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. - John Stevens, the red-headed crooner who was ousted from “American Idol,” returned to high school Friday and said he’s still hoping to get a record deal. “As of now, I’ve received no offers besides just singing at weddings and other local events,” he said.

Chief Executive Officer Amy Trask, a fan of the NBC show, has hired Nick Warnock 27, to sell 143 luxury suites at the Oakland Coliseum.
“I called someone else in our office equally addicted to the show and told him, `I want to hire this guy to sell suites,’” Trask said..
