Interview with Norelle of America’s Next Top Model

Orwellproject Talks With Norelle Of America Next Top Model

How did you come to be on America’s Next Top Model?

I heard about the casting call so I went and ended up standing in line for 12 hours. Later I received a call back joined the rest of the cast.

Have you always wanted to be a model?

Yes, I have always wanted to be model, I just had to wait for my braces to come off. I checked in with a few agencies prior to the show but this was really the start of my career.

How do you think your ANTM experience will change your future?

I believe I have an advantage now. The exposure was incredible and I learned so much about the industry. I am looking forward to starting with an agency and pursuing the modeling industry.

What advice would you give to aspiring models trying out for the next season of ANTM?

Don’t give up on yourself. Go wait in line and stay away from all of the drama. You are there to be a model not to be part of the drama. Make sure you understand that modeling is more than looks, it is also important to have a personality. My recommendations would be to show up and dress simple, such as jeans and a tank top, I wore a skirt and tank top with no makeup. Be natural so go light on the makeup and most importantly don’t doubt yourself.

Is there anything you saw that your competition did well or something you learned not to do because of another example?

I saw some of the other girls that presented themselves with more confidence. I wish I would have been able to be less nervous with more confidence.

Knowing what you know now, would you do it all again?

In a second! I learned a lot about the modeling industry and had a great time.

Sometimes it’s hard to become friends with the competitors, did you find that true? If so, which contestant did you clash with most and why?

Obviously living with a bunch of girls is going to lead to something, but I mostly stayed away from the drama. I liked everyone and fortunately made some great friends such as Ann. Overall it was an amazing experience.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

To be able to walk in heels. I practiced ahead of time walking a lot in heels but wish I was better at it.
