I Know A Reality Star Volume 6 – Toni Ferrari from Love Cruise & Hotel Paradise

Thanks for hanging in there and waiting for the next installment of I Know A Reality Star. I have been working on the radio version of I Know A Reality Star that is set to premier this June as part of the Celebrity Corner talk radio show ( http://www.TheCelebrityCorner.com ). Most of the reality TV stars that have been part of this column will talk live with me on the show, make sure to tune in and hear some great interviews.
Now on to this edition: This week I have an interview with Toni Ferrari of Love Cruise and Hotel Paradise. I met Toni via theFishBowl.com were we both are profiled for reality shows we have appeared on. Toni hosts a radio show for The Fish Bowl and does several chats there on the site as well. With both of our busy schedules we did the interview via email.
I asked Toni about casting for the shows and she told me, like many other reality stars, that she was one of those people who waited in line at an open casting call. She was lucky enough to be called back for a second interview. She hadn’t heard anything at thought she had not been chosen, and then her phone rang. It was 4:30 in the morning and she got a call from the production company of Love Cruise and they ask her to be on the show. She was thrilled, she recalls screaming at the top of her lungs into the phone and scaring the casting person. She was now on her way to her first reality show. She was asked to be on Hotel Paradise due to her previous reality appearance, so that was less eventful. She was thrilled but what did her family think? Toni said her family was thrilled for her as well when they found out she’d be doing the shows. They’ve always wanted her to go after her dreams and couldn’t wait to see the shows on TV.
Being that she was on two different shows I had to ask her what one she liked the best and what she thought of each of the shows. Toni told me that Hotel Paradise was her favorite of the two shows. She left the set with a sense of loss about her; she was going to miss the cast and the crew. “It broke my heart to leave,” she recalls. Love Cruise on the other hand Toni said, “Thank God I’m out of here” in regards to leaving that show. “Love Cruise screwed me over” was her response to how she felt they edited the show for TV. Hotel Paradise however “blew me away, what a great show!” You can see she definitely was a Hotel Paradise fan and not so much into Love Cruise.
One other reason she had to love Hotel Paradise even more was the exposure it gave her. She was interviewed on TV all over the world as well as in top magazines. Entertainment Weekly named Toni the All Time Most Memorable Female Reality Star. With all the women on reality TV that is a great title. Is that helping her career any? Toni says no. “I am a trained actress and my goal is to make it in film. I thought reality would be a springboard for my career, boy was I wrong.” She is still waiting for her big break, aren’t we all. In the meantime she is working with theFishBowl.com and co-hosts their internet radio show about the Amazing Race.
