David Pareja Wins First Fight o­n FOX'S Reality Series “The Next Great Champ”

David Pareja of Chicago, IL, beat Arsenio Reyes of Miami, FL, in the first elimination fight o­n last night's series premiere of THE NEXT GREAT CHAMP. [Note: An encore broadcast of this episode will air Friday, Sept. 10 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) o­n FOX.]



In the upcoming original episode of THE NEXT GREAT CHAMP, Tuesday, Sept. 14 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) o­n FOX, former World Heavyweight Champion Larry Holmes (1980-1985) will appear. Holmes, who had an overall pro record of 67-6 with 43 knockouts, will introduce a challenge to test the limits of the fighters' power.

Also in the Sept. 14 episode, another $35,000 is o­n the line and o­ne more boxer will hang up his gloves and go home after the elimination fight; tensions run high as alliances begin to form; and Pareja moves into the winner's room, getting his first taste of the champion lifestyle and the jealousy of the other fighters.
